The Goldman Sachs "way" -- convince a company to hire Goldman for their supposed "expertise" in guiding investments.

Goldman then proceeds to run the company's money into the ground.

Then, using Goldman's inside information based on familiarity with just how bad things are for the company that was unlucky enough to use Goldman ...

(Maybe) "front-run" (in the short-selling direction) shares and options of the client's company,

before coming out publicly and announcing : "This company is in trouble because ... OMG ! Look at how lousy their investments have been doing."
