Obama's poll numbers are down to 64% approval, a year after we went into Iraq Bush's were 66% approval.

I don't know what the numbers are but this process of getting his cabinet and his administration in place has been bloody.

You've got the following appointments who are tax cheats --

- Geithner (Treasury!)
- Daschle
- Killefer

You've got Pay-to-Play

- Blago/Emmanual
- Richardson

You've got a spineless AG who was the ring-leader WRT multiple OUTRAGEOUS pardons

- Holder (AG)

This is an astonishing level of corruption in these initial appointments. I cannot think of an administration that's had these kinds of problems up front with the possible exception of Clinton. And we all remember what THAT got us.

With any luck, this mess weakens him politically to the point where the damage of having an extremist in office will be limited.
