Personally, I think one of the areas where GWB gets no credit, because it isn't readily apparent, is the relatively secure situation he left us in. It is entirely possible we'll get through an Obama administration without an attack -- at least, we hope so.

Contrary to what the Left would have us believe, the US is relatively safe compared to pre-9/11.

OTOH, Obama has definitely started chipping away at the Bush legacy. The negotiations with Iran and possibly Syria are huge mistakes that will not end well IMO. He is being perceived as weak and we can already see where that's headed.

OTOH, Obama is a quick learner. He very well may come to understand his mistakes and turn it around before it is too late. If a year from now, he sees that talking to Iran gets you nowhere, there is every possibility he'll head another direction.
