Obama in my opinion is a sensible person. He is intelligent and he does not have (from what I can see) any character flaws. He is open minded and he has the best interests of the country in mind. There are loonies to the left that he has to be mindful of and I think he is smart enough to see through that. I know I'm kind of jumping in between you and Steve, but, IMHO, there's a lot of congressmen who are just shoveling stuff into the stimulus bill on the hope it won't be rooted out. Obama might be willing to take on Republican congressman, but Democratic congressmen? Ay there's the rub.
