Bob Costas Joins MLB Network as Announcer and Will Stay at NBC By Danielle Sessa Feb. 3 (Bloomberg) -- Bob Costas will join MLB Network as a host and play-by-play announcer for select baseball games after signing a multiyear contract. Costas will debut with a one-hour interview with Los Angeles Dodgers manager Joe Torre that will air on Feb. 5, according to a statement from the network owned by Major League Baseball. Costas will keep his job at General Electric Co.’s NBC Sports, where he’s a 29-year veteran.
