OT/ I wonder if we might see so many suppliers dropping out that the remaining suppliers have a sort of a short term monopoly.

If there are 8 dealers in a area that stock a certain type of appliance, but only one has the cash to maintain a local inventory, they are in a good position if someone needs that item.

And 4 of those dealers may close this year, or cut locations.

Many auto dealers have folded in the past year, we may see this for construction and industrial supplies too.

In Mountain View, California we have a lumber yard which has been around for about 80 years - business has dropped like a rock and they are planning to close up and sell the land.
Google's headquarters in in Mountain View, there is money around, but no one wants to spend.
