Obama must get republicans onboard, not because he needs their votes to pass the bill but because he needs wider public support. There are many folks on the political left who object to the pork as republicans do. There are many creative approaches from krugman to zandi to steve forbes that need to be examined. We need a stim bill that really stimulates. Obama needs to wrist slap pelosi and reid. Time for new leadership in congress and some on the left on this board agree.
