EETimes is now reporting that Micron might buy Spansion: eetimes.com I wonder what price is Spansion worth in the case of a takeover. Looking at their balance sheet, I think they have more of a (temporary) cash flow problem than a fundamental problem n(given that they said that they would be cash flow positive in Q4 before the demand collapsed). E.g. the deal with ASE would probably give them a couple of hundred million dollar, which is probably good to get them beyond the downturn. Market cap is only $11M, anyone who buys Spansion for less than $500m is probably doing a fantastic deal.
