Bad example for your argument.

1 - It was government spending.

2 - It was rushed through, like the stimulus and bailout bills.

Which doesn't mean that I would support the "privatize everything" idea, but that "crowd" is rather insignificant, possibly to the point of only being a useful straw man against any arguments against for privatizing anything or against expanding government, rather than an idea that is actually being considered.
