Pretty pitifal aren't they?

You do realize, you add up the OAS plus the Guaranteed Income Supplement and the Allowance. For a couple it ends up being around $2500.00 per month (it goes down as other sources of retirement income go up).

How does this compare to SS benefits?

I'm not 65 yet, nor retired and earn a good income. My savings will compensate. I do have concern for the elderly in my country that go hungry. I'm sure the same happens in the Good Ol' US of A.
