The Daily Show was all over the cabinet appointments and the tax cheats. It just didn't come out funny except for the final bit, which was a Daschle campaign ad about how he still drove the same 8 year old car to work. Now, that was a hoot.

But The Colbert Report's showing of clips of Rush Limbaugh saying idiotic, anti-American stuff was much funnier, as Stephen has long pretended to be a Rush supporter. I think Rush is just a naturally funny hypocrite while Daschle is too dull to raise more than a small giggle.

I think it is just natural for true believers of either side to ignore the jibes at the other side. They feel better if they think there is a bias against their guys.
