What did you expect? Cockpit recordings often make it out into the public. The people involved almost never panic, even when it is obvious that they aren't going to make it. They are working to the last moment to try to avoid stuffing it and usually are unnervingly calm. The prototype for this type was Chuck Yeager, who is a hero to most pilots. To the point that many will, consciously or unconsciously, mimic his speaking style on the radio. Chuck was famous for being cool and unflappable, even when the plane was disassembling itself around him.

One thing that gets drilled into everyone in the flight crew is that their only chance is not to panic. That is what the passengers do. And make no mistake, everyone on the crew did what they were supposed to and were calm the entire time.

ATCs are the same way.
