And yet prices at the farm level have plummeted. Milk is under 10 dollars a hundred weight base price which is half what it was a year ago. Bull calves that sold for 400 a year ago now don't bring enough to pay the trucking bill to market. Some folks are feeding them but a lot are just getting shot I hate to say.

You wouldn't know any of that looking at the store however.
