Good point.
We are also not at the point of great depression. Single most important to pass the final version, whatever it is, is to restore some measure of confidence in the future. Problem isnt incremental loss to sales from unemployment, its the complete lockdown on spending by folks who have jobs but who see the sword of damocles over their heads. FDR said it best "nothing to fear buy fear itself" If we can get past that, markets will rise, housing fall will abate, jobs will return and history will judge this as a severe recession caused by a financial panic. We can get thru that.
