If Obama gets a Senate win tonight with some Republicans, the expectation is that some House Republicans will vote for the final conference version. That would be a big win-win for Obama's leadership all around, setting a precedent for bipartisan negotiating on big, key issues.

That's my hope. We'll see if it happens or not. The worst case is going back to what we had the last eight years. The bar to do better has been set very, very low.

Obama speaking now, reiterating his stance on the stimulus package and his openness to bring in all POV's. If mph is still following along here, that's the answer to his question about where the Republican input was sought.
