NY is a liberal town. On the local news yesterday people were reacting strongly to higher tolls/taxes coming. One said "we dont have no more forkin money for this". High taxes resonates and although the dems did a good job of yapping about taxing the rich, the rich are always defined down in salary when laws are passed. If you are a NYC resident the definition of rich often attaches to folks are net, net middle class after expense of living in NYC are taken into account. Dats the slippery slope you face when you raise taxes, however raising money from those who can afford it now is paramount. I realize i contradict myself here.
