John;

Speaking of Krugman

I wonder how twisted up we can get discussing this article on Krugman's book. Are the ideas the author's, Krugman's , yours or mine? Have you read the book?

Krugman championed single-payer healthcare; he hammered away at Dick Armey's tax cuts and Karl Rove's winning creepiness;

Obviously Krugman is not all bad - <smile>. But having said that, where is the discussion on debt? Seemed to be missing. No matter how logically we can argue a case - without the acknowledgement of debt and how we get to pay it back, the arguments to me are hollow. (Maybe it is in the book?) Sure it is simple to solve todays problems by just borrowing against the future, but I would argue debt is more responsible for getting us into trouble than all Krugmans cerebral thinking. Any thinking by Krugman will only be known far far into the future when we know what this debt ultimately does to America.

Thanks for the article!
