The idea of anyone ensuring equality of outcomes is ridiculous. It is not going to happen. It cannot happen.

I have known a few rich parents that tried to ensure equality of outcomes for their children. If the successful one bought a BMW dad would buy the less successful child a Lexus. Eventually the parents realized that they were enabling under performance. Besides not everyone has a goal of owning a BMW and traveling to Europe.

If the problem is not enough people are ensured then the answer is to make insurance that they can afford. It will not have everything covered. Cutting coverage for expensive procedures would bring down the cost considerably.

If others can afford to spend more then they should be allowed to buy whatever level of insurance they can afford.

When I was able to offer insurance that was age and sex rated the young men all took coverage. When the premium is under $20 every two weeks there is no sane reason to refuse excellent coverage. When I was forced to offer only two classes of insurance, single and family, and the rates for single were closer to $100 per two weeks, the same young men declined coverage.

Women received a reduction in rates and found the new rates favorable which skewed the demographics of the plan ensuring a hefty increase the next year.

Most people don't begin to understand what they are spouting about when they demand the "problem" be fixed.

Yes, Hillary Care included the feature of criminalizing medical care outside of the government reimbursement system. The one piece of Hillary Care that did pass destroyed the American vaccine delivery system and was directly responsible for the shortages that have occurred since then.
