Interesting how "defense" spending is not even mentioned as a possible budget cut as Washington tries to reorder their budget priorities. The amount we waste on "defense" is really a national shame. Even if we wanted to maintain current levels of support, we could certainly find more efficient ways of spending money on the military. Some of the outlays are just pure political pork to well connected "defense" contractors.
