If Ratzinger was the liaison between Lefebvre and Rome, he knows that Rome was waiting for Lefebvre to die. That's why Lefebvre did what he had to to do. Williamson is no doubt senile now, lifting the excommunications have nothing to do with whatever it is he's babbling on about today.
