make us more competitive in the world? As John already pointed out, there's nothing in the proposals to start getting health care costs under control....something that would enable American business to compete better against our Canadian and European counterparts. If Obama does only this one thing, his place in history will be assured, imo. Of course, that assumes Congress wouldn't totally botch things up and make an already bad situation worse.
