I don't know a single liberal who hoped that. There may be some nuts on SI who have said that, God knows, there are nuts a plenty on some of the threads of both right and left stripes, but in real life, a regular person who hoped we'd fail? A person with kids and a job and a life? Nope. I know not a one. I think this is one of those myths of the right- they find a couple of nuts who think it, and suddenly ALL liberals think it. Just like ALL liberals love the Che. Ick.

I see some that *appear* to be hoping that Obama will fail. I'm not sure they want a depression, but their ODS is so advanced, they'd probably prefer that to Obama's success. I'm sure you can find some to examine if you want to. They're kind of obvious.

JMO, but you can find somebody who holds every single opinion you can possibly think of, but most are such a small fringe that they arent worth commenting on. I see no difference between Paul's accusations against Republicans and those the Republicans made about liberals. Amazing how little difference there is between the lunatic fringe on both sides.
