Skeeter Bug asked:

<<octavian, can you give a % up or down? ultimately, that's all that matters. include the GNMAs, too. we can revisit this in 6 and 12 months.>>

--What are you asking for? The percentage MY portfolio was up or down? Over what time period? Or the percentage of GNMA held by a brinker follower, or by me?

<<GNMAs look toxicv to me at this point, kind of like that $200k home sellin gfor $500k. that's ok, though, as i fully expect my TBT to head skyward as GNMAs eventually tank. it was a great play until recently, though.>>

--I don't think they're exactly toxic, as the maturities and durations of the Vanguard GNMA fund are short. However, I AM thinking about selling all or part of them. I'm just not sure where to put the money.

The TBTs look pretty good, unless we are headed for deflation or depression. Aren't you kind of betting on a reasonably quick end to the recession and resumed growth?

Or are you predicting the return of the dreaded "stagflation?"

Knowing you, and how "optimistic" you always are, it must be the latter. -:)
