My wife and I are sharing the same cold so we went to the store to buy a box of Zicam to share. We each got our own box of tablets. For those who don't know, Ziam's active ingredient is Zincum, at least in the Rapid Melts (tablets). The point of this is not what's in the bottle, but what's in the box ... lots of air. Piles of packaging hold a small plastic bottle of 25 lozenges. The bottle is twice the size it has to be. too. I wrote about perception the other day. Are we supposed to perceive we get great value from an almost empty box and a half-empty bottle? The information on the box could be printed and inserted in the bottle and not use the box at all.
