Observation for gold investors - for close to one year GOLD did nothing except to fluctuate up and down - price of gold now is about what it was a year ago.

So what is the benefit of investing in gold? Treasuries performed much better and stocks much worse and as a side comment stocks and treasuries can be shorted so if you where on the right side of the trade you made money - in gold you paid for storage and insurance
