Governor Announces Water Recycling Plant Will Be Built in Marion County wboy.com Posted Tuesday, February 10, 2009 ; 05:50 PM The $12 million plant will bring 10 jobs to the county. CHARLESTON -- AOP Clearwater, LLC will open a water recycling plant in Marion County, according to Governor Joe Manchin's office. The plant will recycle water that is used in the natural gas and oil exploration process. More drilling in the Marcellus Shale region makes the plant necessary. It will be the company's first such plant in the Appalachian Basin. The plant is a $12 million investment and will create 10 jobs. Local companies will build the plant, officials say. It is expected to be open by July of this year. Officials have not said exactly where in Marion County the plant will be located. Copyright 2009 West Virginia Media.
