A few days ago DATM also sited concerns that orders from PCS and cellular were soften. From a recent news release...
"Since the close of the quarter, we have undertaken market demand discussions with several key customers. While the overseas wireline markets seem quite strong, the PCS and cellular markets suggest that product demand for our fourth quarter will not equal that of the very strong demand of the prior two periods. From these discussions, our customers appear confident about the continued long term growing demand for PCS and cellular products, but the short term outlook is uncertain at this moment."
Nortel is a big key customer of theirs. No?
On a related note, I know one loses one's shirt when one gets stubborn with the market - thinking they know better then the market instead of looking at what it's doing and acting accordingly, but... today's action with SPCT is wrong, damn it! If I had the means to, I'd be buying SPCT and holding.
The fundamentals are sound. There's something else going on here and talk about slowing revenues, softening of the market, etc., while valid, are just excuses.
