Geof / Hal, Thanks for the clarification and your input. <<<The new DMT standard is intended to address interoperability, and I understand the first chips which implement it will be the 3.0 release from Alcatel (first silicon late this year)-current release is 2.2, I think. So if you want Amati/Alcatel (or Hayes) interoperability, either both modems have to be running the new Alcatel chip, or Amati has to wait until one of its current silicon suppliers has implemented the new standard.>>> Hopefully other DMT silicon suppliers will implement the new standard soon.
