Your original claim that they were caught on mic. was false. I'll grant you likely just mis-remembered. Your second claim, hearsay, is considerably weaker. The principles, Hillary and Boxer, deny that discussion ever took place. Which is even somewhat credible because it isn't likely they would be discussing something like that in front of the guy.
