I dont disagree. But my conclusion may be different. The new deal programs that ended, probably ended prematurely. Since neither of us wants a world war 2 type war, we have to make sure we keep the stims in place as long as need-be regardless of how uncomfortable the defecits become. Only way for this to become catastrophic is if china and to a lesser extent India decides to cut off their nose to spite its face.
The bill is not perfect but not because its 2-1 spending vs tax cuts as some cons say. Geithner performance lousy and have riled the markets but he is a very, very smart guy and it should be ok. Both of us have a vested interest in rooting for obama and geithner because the future of our country is at stake. And thats despite the ideological differneces we may have with each other and with this admin. After all the future of our country is at stake, no?
