Charger,

I think you hit the nail right on the head concerning a JV deal. The stock didn't jump this much because they found a few 5 gallon buckets of gold IMO. They have the reserves in the mines, but they need help getting at them (money, warm bodies, and more equipment). It's also getting close to being full up winter out there. They typically have slowed way down out there in the winter.

I also agree that there can be huge momentum in gold plays just because it's the nature of the beast.
