Many of the semi and semi equipment companies are being particularly hard hit because of fears that the turmoil in the financails markets in the Far East will cause liquidity problems and higher costs for goods purchased in the U.S. while lowering products for stuff made there. The semi equipment companies are realy getting slammed because a large portion of their business typically comes from the Far East.

I think that because of the types of products IDTI makes and the locations of their manufacturing operations, the effect on IDT of any protracted devaluation of foreign currencies and dampening of markets is likely to be about a wash. IDTI parts sold into foreign markets is less than most other semi companies. I am no expert in foreign exchange or capital expenditures so any better thought out comments are welcome.
