I just wish I could believe GLD and Gallemore's charts...

Given all the red flags in their prospectus I would really like to know how much is held in derivative form and how much in actual bullion...Audited numbers by TWO internationally respected firms would help too....

Increasing using options and synthetic calls to hold GLD in case some night it goes pooooof ... Also holding GTU and CEF figuring if GLD goes up in smoke (or partly) that GTU and CEF will fly....GTU (the all gold fund) is carrying a 15%+ premium currently.

As to the trend in commodities....Going through the charts one after another has a falling trend indicator and declining momentum...Sugar Gold and Silver are about the only exceptions and it looks like Silver trend indicator flattened today or tipped down...Gold's is still rising, though the metal is retreating in the over nights...and like Silver its trend indicator is on the roof.

For me this says this isn't the time to be buying. Commodites could generally be under pressure due to the stronger dollar while GOLD like the dollar is a flight to safety. I suppose it's in GOLD I trust and am afraid of being too cute here..Less trading is often better trading....this feels like such a time.....

Gallemore's site....with a few exceptions the trend is lower...
