i am inclined to think the russians 'did it' and if they did, typically art-less, in character, as iridiums are fully functional satellites, starting out as private property and later turned in quasi-sovereign / pentagon machines
but if so, the situation would should could and better be a crisis for obama, and super duper top priority on desk trays
otoh, if the americans 'did it', it is also in keeping with typically art-less character, unnecessarily taunting putin when they can so very easily upset the apple cart just about everywhere
and if neither side 'did it' and indeed it was an accident, then we must believe such accidents can happen again and often, and if so, when so, each time a crisis can be
