Why, and HOW, would they buy $800 Billion in Gold (that being the amount of US debt they own)?

As for infrastructure, they've already been doing that..

But more importantly, what would happen to the value of their Yuan were they to trash the US dollar? While they currently don't peg the Yuan to the USD, they certainly don't desire to see their currency appreciate against the dollar. That would effectively end their mercantilist policies.
