A peace treaty is in the works, according to the Rex Diamond thread.

23 October: AFRC representatives and the ECOWAS Committee of Five on Sierra
Leone have reached agreement on a peace plan which will restore the government of
President Ahmad Tejan Kabbah in six months, according to a communique issued in
Conakry Wednesday. The two sides have agreed to an immediate cessation of
hostilities, disarmament, demobilisation, and reintegraion of combatants, the
provision of humanitarian assistance, and the return of refugees and displaced
persons. The agreement provides for immunity and guarantees to the leaders of the
May 25 coup, and calls for broadening the power base in Sierra Leone. The
communique said RUF leader Corporal Foday Sankoh "could continue to play an
active role and participate in the peace process" and said that Sankoh "is expected to
return to his country to make his contribution to the peace process."

Happy investing,
