There should be no surprise here.

Obama said that health care is a "right" during the campaign. Nobody had the balls to call him out on it which should have been done.

Politically, it just sounds too good for a politician to challenge.

There is no end to the "rights" humans possess. We have a "right" to health care, food, transportation, clean bathrooms, kitchens, cars, paid-up mortgages. You name it, it is a right.
