Paul, News worthy. With 54% of all Semiconductor Sales comming out of Japan/Asian markets, the currency meltdown by the Hong Kong Dollar, The resulting correctoion of the Hong Kong stock market. US semiconductors are poised for a substantial correction, like the July 96-to July 97 period. Semiconductors sales are heavly exposed to the Asian expansion markets who face higher currency imposed prices may have to purchase fewer units. Intel must beleive it they Just announced a one year delay in the investment of the new Fab in Fort Worth Texas. This might give AMD a chance to catch up. Commidity chip makers will get hit the hardest as they have the greater overcapacity, most of it Asian facilities. Pass out the rocks to hide under and sharpen your pencils.
