The revolution started long before the first shots were fired at Lexington and Concord, Massachusetts. The revolution started when a man realized he was at his greatest capability when a government didn't shackle him to tax payments. The revolution started when a man realized he was capable of governing his community without the priviledge of a 'noble birth.' The revolution started when a man realized he was first obligated to answer to God for his life than to a government. The revolution started when a man realized he was as equal as any other man, and the place of equality was under the law. The revolution started when community after community took stock and realized they had been governing themselves in a fair and equitable manner without the overlords of priviledged positions presiding over their proceedings. The revolution gained headway when the luminaries of this revelation spread forth the truth they had already been experiencing. The luminaries of the revolution did not count the cost of their cause as too great a cost. They pledged to themselves and to each other, their life, their wealth, their sacred honor. The concept of a free and separate people had gripped their very soul and the crusade of bringing that concept to a reality was a greater cause than their lives. The concept of the rule of man was a reality in Europe, the concept of every man was equal under the law was a new concept and the revolution was to bring that concept to a governing reality. No one was above the law in the US. The other form of government, where man rules is still everywhere else. When that starts to grip some men and they can expound on this principle then the revolution will have been rekindled. This will not be a one march with 3 million people and there's change. This will be decades long, the outcome without guarantee. But I ask you this, is there a better cause to give one's life to? Will the next generation be in awe of your house, your bank account? Will your posterior look at your life and say, what was that all about?
