OK. That's a start. So of what you listed, you are talking about 0.2% of the total bill. Should the entire bill be scrapped because of that amount?

The better or worse, our law making process works by buying votes through tacking on pet projects, which we all call pork. I hate it and so do you, but that's how it works. If every bill was scrapped because of pork, then nothing would ever get done.

What I find laughable is that the GOP has actually made some of their complaints up, like the whole mouse thing. In addition, if there are pork items in the bill, they are such a small amount compared to the total, which include majority useful investments, that we should move forward with it anyway.

I hate pork as much as the next guy, but we need to do something about this vicious downward spiral.
