They have printed the bailout funds schedule twice in the local paper for the state of Idaho. I don't see how any of the one billion dollars they are sending to this state is going to help the economy. The categories are very broad in description
so it looks like the state is going to have a lot of oversight.
A billion dollars to a state with about 1 and half million people is a very large sum. The state was trying to balance the budget with some severe cost cutting. I hope these guys are smart enough to not purchase anything requiring a continuing demand for cash. Property taxes are the big cash generator. In comparing those with what I was used to in California my taxes in Idaho are about 5 times as California.
The whole world was living on the credit edge to have things
tumble the way they have. This stuff will last longer than I will and it is a sad story to leave for the next two generations.
