They are having a special on HBO on the great black runners at San Joe State, John Carlos, Tommy Smith and Lee Evans who gave the closed fist protest at the olympics. I was in San Jose State then and actually saw them run. We "hippies-lol" supported them and their cause for racial justice. 1964 civil rights act. We liberals were their only true friends, but we were solidly with them. And they were appreciative of our support. I hate racism and will not tolerate it. Never did.
