JD, Yes, I am really struggling with the end game, and the middle moves too. Agree, it is not an event, but a process. And to my greedy little mind, that means more profit for the correct and nimble. The only problem with the wait for the unfold is that I expect rates will move up and negate some of the value of the dollar devaluation play. At least as far as leveraged borrowed dollars. Cheap money must be taken while cheap. It is a difficult problem, but I am fairly certain that gold and miners are the current correct path. As for the best bang for your buck in cars, I'm not the right guy to ask. I do know this, anything used is cheap. The used market has been decimated by oversupply and incentives for the new stuff, as well as millions of returned lease vehicles. I always track two sports cars to get a gauge on the fat in the market. Right now there are extremely good deals on 08 Porsche 911's with less then 2k miles. That market is soft and it is going to get softer. Ditto for the Benz 550SL. For your purposes I'd buy a used Hummer and have that retrofitted Escobar style. My plan is to hide out somewhere outside of a major city. The Detroit suburbs do not meet this criteria. I'm only four miles from the place they lit on fire last time, and looking around, there are plans this time to go north. More studying to do. The solution is there waiting to be found.
