Flew back from a quick trip to Vegas over the weekend. I can see why Vegas is offering so many deals. Took the limo up the main strip at 5:30pm on Thursday when we got there and it was no problem. Hardly any cars and very few people walking. For those who don't go to Vegas, the strip should be total gridlock at that hour of the evening. Downtown was very quiet until Saturday which was Valentines of course at which point the entire downtown was sold out. Up to that point you could fire a cannon through any of the casinos with little fear of hitting anyone.

We had a flight back yesterday that was something I haven't experienced in probably 25 years. My wife who can barely fly to begin with, I thought was going to have the big one. She actually got to the point of hyperventilating with a pulse that was off the scale. They had just started drink service when we hit the turbulence which of course they then ceased as the pilot came on and told all flight crew to take their seats and buckle up. I would not be exaggerating to say it was what I would call violent. It lasted about 15 minutes and we ended with an airplane full of spilled coffee and drinks that had been served to that point. It was something else.

Being a true Wisconsinite who looks upon spilled drinks as alcohol abuse, I'm proud to report that I rode it out with my bloody mary without spilling a drop:)
