My claim is just about certainly correct. It is clearly correct if you look at the data so far, but of course the data isn't and can't be completely up to date, so its only "just about certainly correct", rather than simply "correct".

I've shown multiple stats here and elsewhere. Depedning on what you focus on the downturn is between noticeably milder than the 81 recession, and equal to, to very slightly worse than that recession.

Also the 81 recession, was by many measures not the deepest post war recession.
