But John, that's not what happened. The meltdown in our economy was of our own doing. It was caused by a US housing meltdown. It doesn't count to predict something, but have the cause wrong. How does that help anyone? If you argue the securitization of housing is movements of globalized capital - again you would be wrong since that didn't happen until well after 99.
