Actually, you are wrong. (big surprise).

The bridge collapse you referred to was not due to a lack of maintenance at all, rather, it was due to a design flaw exacerbated by the extra weight (600,000 lbs) on the bridge due to the renovation work underway, according to the NTSB investigation of the collapse.


Yes, I know. And so did they. Why were they maintaining the bridge when they knew the design was flawed and could lead to failure?
