based on what you've just said, following brinker caused you to lose purchasing power.

iow, his "market timing" underperformed a cd.

and you make fun of a guy who's been recommending gold for years now - an investment that has significantly outpaced inflation.

i think following brinker has given you a very distorted view of reality.

just wow.

there is hope, though. pbs has a special on tonight called "inside the meltdown." cnbc also has a special called "house of cards."

make sure you watch both of them and then meditate on the fact that all that wealth is gone and won't be coming back. in its wake is massive devastation. 26% of CA home mortgages are underwater and i see another 30-50% drop before we hit bottom. the banks are already insolvent and commercial real estate is about to implode.
