Quite a carbon footprint you've got going there. My house is extremely efficient. Built to be...high efficiency appliances, heating, cooling, heavily insulated. I plan to install a 6Kwh PV system. The local utility has a great deal...they dual meter and buy solar power at twice the rate they sell it. WTF do you need all that space for? Mine's 2500 sf and is half unused. I buy carbon offsets for half our utility bills. The house is that big because it's a dual dwelling...an elder family member lives downstairs. It is built on a steep slope and so it needed a space below the main floor to raise it off the ground, so I decided to finish that space. Al
