John;

I have not read Krugmans books, so perhaps you have a point. I was a subscriber to the NYTimes for the past decade though and religulously read the editorial page. I just do not remember any hint of warning from Krugman. Did he in 02,03,04 say that Greenspan was being stupid big time, that Americans were creating the biggest mistake of all time economically by going on a credit binge? Is so, then Krugman was making an argument based on Austrian School thinking and PREDICTIONS. It easy to predict the past. If you remember everyone during those years listed above thought Greenspan was a miracle worker. Did that not include Krugman?

Steve, you are arguing against an argument you haven't read

So if Krugman was such a great Austrian in thinking, why abandon that thinking now?
